Signing in to Eklo: emailed codes, links, Google and passkeys
Signing in to Eklo with an emailed code, an emailed link, Google or a passkey, and adding or removing passkeys.
Last updated
Eklo, the workspace where a church's staff and volunteers handle requests, tasks and chat, has no passwords. You sign in with a one-time code or link sent to your email, with your Google account, or with a passkey on a device you've set up.
Sign in with an emailed code
- Go to the Eklo sign-in page.
- Enter your Email (the address your church invited) and click Continue.
- Eklo emails you a 6-digit code. Type it in.
- A code works for 5 minutes, and for 3 tries. After that, click Back, then Continue to get a new one.
- No email? Check your spam folder, or click Didn't get the code? Email me a link instead. The link works for 10 minutes.
- If you ask for a lot of codes in a short time (more than 5 in 15 minutes), Eklo stops sending them for a while. Wait, then try again.
You stay signed in for 30 days on that browser.
Sign in with Google
Click Continue with Google on the sign-in page, and choose the Google account for the address your church invited.
Sign in with a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello or a security key instead of an emailed code.
On the sign-in page, click Sign in with a passkey. Your browser may also offer the passkey when you click the email field.
Add a passkey
- Open Settings → Profile (or click your avatar, then Your profile).
- Under Passkeys, click Add a passkey.
- Give it a name you'll recognize, like "Work laptop", and follow your browser's prompts.
Add one on each device you use. If it fails, try a different device or browser.
Remove a passkey
In Settings → Profile → Passkeys, click the trash icon next to the passkey and confirm. Remove a passkey when you lose or replace a device.
Sign in with your church's single sign-on
If your church has set up single sign-on, enter your church email on the sign-in page and click Continue with single sign-on. Eklo sends you to your church's sign-in page (Okta, Microsoft or Google), then back. If your church requires single sign-on, emailed codes and passkeys don't work for your address. Admins: see Single sign-on.
Sign out
Click your avatar in the top-right corner, then Sign out.
Signing in to more than one church
One account can belong to several workspaces. Sign in once, then click your avatar and choose a church under Switch workspace. The list appears when you belong to two or more.
If your church's beta access was approved, you can also set up another workspace: click your avatar, then New workspace. Eklo opens on the new workspace once it's created.
